Halloween is coming up, and even if you are not planning on doing anything special, you can find the celebration of the holiday in the little things. I don’t always make plans for Halloween, but it is fun to decorate the house and bake cookies for the trick or treaters. Now that smartphones are popular, it is a good idea to decorate your phone for Halloween with the best cases, wallpapers and other apps. If you want to know five Halloween apps for children, teenagers, and adults, please check them out below:
1. Make a Zombie
Zombies have made a real comeback, with the TV show Walking Dead and a few new zombie movies coming out every year. You probably already know that zombies are far from boring. Zombie-lovers will have a blast with this app, as it lets you raise your own pet zombie. How cute! You can put together your own zombie (hairstyle, eyes, head, thorso, clothes, etc) and you can create as many as you want. You can share them on Facebook and Twitter, and with integrated AirPrint you can print the zombies out and hang them up on your wall as Halloween decoration. Also, the app keeps adding new items and parts to it, so that it stays interesting.
2. Halloween Horror Makeup
Do you ever wonder how they do the professional make-up in horror movies, or do you have a neighbor or a classmate who always has the best, scary looking Halloween and costume party make-up? If you always mess up your make-up for Halloween, or don’t know how to make it real scary, you should download this app. The app gives you instruction for making wounds and scars. They include black eyes and other classic wounds, but if you follow the entire course religiously you will be able to make a complete zombie out of yourself or your friends. The app costs 1 dollar and is available for Android, but there is also a free version that comes with ads.
3. ZombieBooth: 3D Zombifier
There are apps that make you look fat, old, or miserable, but have you ever heard of an app that makes you look like a zombie? This zombie booth shows you exactly what you would look like if you would get bit by a zombie. You can upload pictures of yourself and your friends, and even of your pets. Once you have created a zombie you can make it come alive, and it will blink, scowl, growl and breath and if you put your finger on the screen it tries to bite you. There is a free version of the app and a paid one for $2.99. It is available for iOS.
4. Costumes for Halloween
Sometimes it is hard to decide what costume to wear on Halloween, or what to dress your baby up as. Maybe you decide to make your own outfit out of an old rags last minute, or buy three different outfits that you, while you only get to wear one. This app helps you find the best Halloween costume. You shake your phone and see a new suggestion. If you like it you can bookmark it, or buy it right away (or you can just use it as inspiration for a costume that you want to make yourself). The app also has baby’s and children’s costumes, and there is an option to search for a specific costume. The app is free and available for Android.
5. Halloween Soundlab
If you like to pull pranks or if you like to make your family or friends jump on Halloween (or any time, really) you can do so with this app. It produces a variety of scary sounds that would make everyone jump if you played them when it is all dark and quiet in the room. Sounds include ’empty rocking chair’, ‘lost soul crying for help’, ‘dragging chains’, ‘ghosts’, ‘speaking in tongues’, ‘wicked witch’, and ‘screams of the wretcheds’. This app will make you the scariest person for Halloween.
It is always nice to do something extra for Halloween, and these five apps will definitely get you (and everyone involved) in the mood. If you have other great apps for Halloween, please post them below in the comment section. Happy Halloween!
