Being a parents is always tough, whether it is for the first time or for the sixth time, it is never easy. Although technology is not yet advanced enough to produce a robot baby sitter, or a butler to relieve busy parents every once in a while, the smart phone can be a great assistant to you. Can’t find a play date for your toddler? Can’t get your baby to sleep? There are many great apps to help you with your young children. Check them out below:
1. WebMD Baby
If you are someone who is always worried about their baby’s health (aka, a mother), you should definitely download this app. It has access to trusted physician approved health and wellness information for babies. The app has personalized advice based on the baby’s age, and delivers physician approved guidance that informs parents and keeps them ahead of their baby’s development and growth. The app is also a digital baby book that lets parents organize and share memorable moments of their baby. The key features of this app are a diaper tracker, sleep tracker, feeding tracker and growth tracker. It features over 400 articles, 598 tips, 70 videos and 5 tools.
2. Baby Pack & Go Packing List
One of the worst things that can happen is going out with your baby and forgetting something. I can speak for myself as a parents of a 1 year old and say that one of my worst fears is that I forget to pack something that my daughter needs on the way and I always keep checking my purse obsessively before leaving. With this app you don’t have to worry anymore. It is a checklist that includes a master catalog which features hundreds of baby related items, and complete packing lists. You can also edit items and create lists for your individual children.
3. Magic Sleep
One of our basic needs is sleep, and for a baby this is even more important. Lots of children have trouble sleeping and it can be a nightmare to try to get them to sleep. If you noticed that your baby sleeps better with soothing sounds, you may want to check out this app. It is based on the baby’s most primal memories and recreates the sounds that the baby experienced in the womb and uses the most advanced psycho acoustic sound sources to accomplish this, which causes your baby or toddler to sleep fast well. The app even seems to work with adults. If you are skeptical about this you can read more about this method on the website.
If you are a younger or older parents and you don’t know many other couple with toddlers, you can use this app to find other babies for your kid to hang out with. This location-based app and private social network connects parents with friends and people in the community to find kid-friendly places to go to.Museums, restaurants, playgrounds, etc. This way you can find other parents to befriend for yourself and babies for your kid to befriend. You can share your location and share with Facebook and Twitter. The best thing about it is that it’s free ;).
5. Baby MedBasics
Another great app for people that are always worrying about their baby, only Baby MedBasics takes it a step further; if your child is in direct danger of chocking you can open the app and find instructions. This way you will also feel a lot safer about giving your baby to other people. You might be worried to let your 15 year old neighbor babysit your baby, but knowing that she has this app full of medical advice and picture demonstrations you will feel a lot better. It has tips on how to handle burns, fevers, CPR, bleeding and other emergencies.
Being a parent is the best thing in the world but it also means a lot of stress, panic and worries. With the right help it doesn’t have to be that way. I use WebMD baby and Baby Pack & Go Packing list often myself and I recommend them to everyone. The rest of the apps are great too.
