Apple Announces The New iPhone 5s And 5c

Apple has finally announced the newest iPhone 5s last Tuesday, on a media event. What diehard iPhone fans already expected is true: the model of the iPhone 5s is the same as that of the 5 (the same size and design). However, the newest iPhone is going to be available in three colors: Gold, Silver and Space Gray, which gives the iPhone user a little more option and makes the newest iPhone stand out against its predecessors.

The iPhone 5s will differ from the iPhone 5 with some advanced features, such a 64-bit A7 processor, that is going to be twice as fast at CPU tasks. Another awaited feature is the Touch ID, which is a capacitive fingerprint sensor built into the home button. The sensor scans sub-epidermal skin layers and verify the user. The Touch ID feature will be used to unlock your iPhone and to confirm iPhone purchases. If this is a success, it could mean that your iPhone will never be used by anyone else without your permission. It is a very secure way to lock your phone. Lots of people may freak out at this, but Apple says that the fingerprint information will be encrypted and stores securely in the A7 chip on the iPhone 5s, and that it is never stored on the Apple servers or backed up to iCloud. The iOS developers will not have access to iPhone users’ fingerprints.

The camera on the iPhone 5s will also come with some improvements, such as a new 5-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera’s sensor will be 15% larger than the one on the iPhone 5. The camera will also include a dual-LED True Tone flash, which adapts to existing lighting in order to provide more accurate colors and skin tones. Another feature that is being introduced is the Burst Mode, which allows you to capture 10 pictures per second and it then automatically selects and the best shot. This is a useful feature for people that never know which picture they took is the sharpest or the best. The iPhone 5s will also have Slow-Motion 720p video capture, which goes at 120 frames per second.

But not only the iPhone 5s was announced: Apple announced a low-priced iPhone 5c that will replace the iPhone 5. It comes in 5 different colors: blue, green, yellow, pink and white and it uses the same rear-facing camera and A6 processor as the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5c will be available for Pre-order on Friday, September 13.
