How To Fix Opengl Error On Windows 8

Windows 8 is one of the newest OS by Microsoft and currently there aren’t many softwares or drivers upgraded for every hardware that supports opengl. If you have an old graphic card or sound card and want to play minecraft or counterstrike it will probably give opengl error in windows 8. To avoid opengl error you have to download the previous OS windows 7 driver of your produc . Follow these few steps below of Intel product  for fixing the error:

  1. First go to intel driver, update utility and review your driver updates and check the chipset code of your graphic card.

  2. Then open intel download center and select product family, product line and product name with reference of the chipset family above and press the find button.

  3. Download the latest Graphic Driver of windows 7 and install it.

  4. After restarting your pc, open any video game, go to video settings and check if the opengl option is available.

After installation of driver you might have to setup desktop resolution manually. If you can’t find a driver for your product it is better to wait for the driver update or to buy the latest hardware. The better option could be expensive so install both windows 7 or 8 at same time and play games on windows 7.
