The newest Sony smartphone, Xperia ZR has been long awaited. The device allows you to take great quality pictures and HD films underwater.
Sony is known for its excellent camera qualities, and nowadays people usually prefer to use there smartphone instead of a camera. For the longest time it was still impossible to take underwater pictures with your phone, and you were forced to buy a separate camera for it. With the release of Xperia Z it became possible to have a smartphone that can film and shoot pictures underwater and now the Xperia ZR’s level of resistance is even better: it can be held in fresh water up to 30 minutes and it is IP55 and IP58 compliant.
The yet to be released smartphone comes with a couple of impressive features such as a 13-megapixel fast capture camera, a 4.6-inch HD reality display, 4G LTE and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor.
Sony’s Exmor RS for mobile image sensor with High Dynamic Range is also built into the device. This makes it possible to capture the best quality pictures and videos in every situation and under any condition.
Needless to say, Xperia ZR’s camera comes with great features as well. Among those are Scene Recognition and Auto Mode, about which Sony has made the following statement:
”Superior Auto mode combines Scene Recognition with high quality performance image processing technology (HDR and noise reduction) to automatically shoot with the most optimal settings. And when you want to capture action fast, simply turn on burst mode to shoot an unlimited number of images at 15 frame per second.”
The Sony Xperia ZR will be released globally in the second quarter of 2013, in black and white. The prize is yet unknown.
