Tips To Regain Space To Solve Low Disk Space Problem

Windows uses cache and it increases hard disk space automatically, which could create a low disk space problem on your default windows partition. It might be hard to increase the partition size after installing Windows and you might not want to install the newest Windows so to regain some free space on your hard disk I want to share some useful tips to get some free space on your Windows.

1. Use PC Cleaner

There are avlot of PC cleaners available and some of the best are CCleaner and Microsoft Disk Cleanup Tool to remove and uninstall unnecessary registry files, junk files and history of a different browser. These softwares might help to remove software safe files that are hard for you to remove manually.

2. Disk Clean Manager

The disk clean manager option might pop up if you have low space and you can also open it by writing cleanmgr on the Windows run box so that can also use it to delete the old Windows compressed files, internet temporary files and setup files.

4. Disable System Restore

Windows has system restore features and it’s enabled by default and it carries a lot of backup image space and you can disable it through the control panel or start menu in windows Xp. You could also disable it temporarily and enable it again after you have big free space on your disk.

5. Migrate Apps To Different Partition

You could have created other partitions before installing Windows so you can use it by moving your apps to another free partition. You might have to uninstall it first and install it to another partition or you can remove some programs directly that do not have registry entry.

I hope all tips above would be helpful to get some extra free space or if you can’t fix it then it’s better to reinstall Windows by reducing the partition so then you can have lots of space for default windows partition.
